The Ozane Process

We don't just spray; we protect. Our monthly treatments run from May through September, targeting the peak of pest season to ensure your backyard remains a sanctuary rather than a breeding ground.

1) Precision Technology: We utilize state-of-the-art mist-blowing machines that drive treatment deep into the dense foliage, shrubs, and shaded lawn areas where pests hide.

2) Targeted Application: Our fine-mist technology ensures maximum penetration into breeding sites while preventing off-target drift, keeping the treatment exactly where it's needed.

3) 30-Day Residual Protection: Each professional application is engineered to stay effective for a full month, providing a continuous shield for your family and pets.

Why Homeowners Trust Ozane

Pest issues in Toms River escalate quickly because mosquitoes, fleas, and ticks are built for rapid expansion. At Ozane, our local expertise allows us to pinpoint the specific "hot zones" on your property—from the dense underside of your shrubs to the shaded perimeter of your deck.

  • The Flea Cycle: What starts with a few hitchhikers can explode into a crisis in days. A single female flea can lay up to 50 eggs per day. Once they migrate from your yard to your carpets and bedding, they become incredibly difficult to eliminate without professional intervention.

  • The Tick Threat: Ticks are remarkably resilient; simply keeping the grass short isn't enough. In favorable conditions, a handful of ticks can multiply into a massive population, increasing the risk of Lyme and other tick-borne illnesses for your family and pets.

  • The Mosquito Threat: One mosquito can go from egg to biting adult in as little as 7 to 10 days, and it only takes a tablespoon of standing water for them to breed.

All Your Mosquito, Flea & Tick Questions
Answered

Why are mosquitoes more active at dawn and dusk?

Mosquitoes are most active during dawn and dusk because the light is lower, the air is cooler, and the wind tends to be calmer, making it easier for them to fly and detect CO2 from hosts.

Where do mosquitoes go in winter?

In colder climates, many mosquito species go into a hibernation-like state called diapause, while others lay eggs that survive the winter and hatch when the weather warms up.

What is flea dirt?
Flea dirt is the fecal matter left behind by fleas after they feed on blood. It looks like tiny black or dark brown specks, often found in your pet's fur, bedding, or carpets. Flea dirt is essentially digested blood, and when it comes into contact with water, it dissolves and turns red. Flea dirt is a reliable sign that fleas are feeding on your pet, even if the fleas themselves aren't visible.
How do fleas get into homes?
Fleas are opportunistic hitchhikers, most commonly entering homes by attaching themselves to pets, especially dogs and cats. Fleas can also be brought indoors by rodents, such as rats, mice, or wildlife like squirrels and raccoons. Sometimes, fleas can infest homes through second-hand furniture or carpeting that may have been exposed to infested environments. Flea eggs and larvae can also be transported on shoes, clothing, or blankets, as they thrive in dark, moist areas like carpets, bedding, or cracks in floors.
What types of ticks are common in Toms River?

The most common tick species are:

  • Deer Ticks (Blacklegged Ticks): These are the primary carriers of Lyme disease, and they are especially abundant in wooded or grassy areas.
  • American Dog Ticks: Known for spreading Rocky Mountain spotted fever, these ticks are found in grassy areas and can attach to both pets and humans.
  • Lone Star Ticks: These ticks are aggressive and can transmit diseases such as ehrlichiosis and southern tick-associated rash illness (STARI).
Is the treatment safe for my kids and pets?

Yes. Once the treatment is completely dry (usually 1-2 hours), you, your family, and your pets are safe to go outside on the lawn.
