Defending Monmouth County Homes from Termites Since 1917

Protect My Home!

The Silent Destroyers

Whether you own a storied historic home in Freehold or a modern coastal property in Asbury Park, your investment is at risk. Monmouth County's unique climate makes it a high-activity zone for Subterranean Termites—silent destroyers responsible for $6.8 billion in property damage every year. Don't wait for the signs of an infestation to appear. Give your home the 24/7 shield it needs to stay standing for generations.

Why You Need Termite Protection

The Jersey Shore Reality: From the humid summers in Toms River to the damp springs in Monmouth County, subterranean termites thrive here. They work in shifts, never sleeping and never stopping until they are professionally intercepted.

  • 600,000+ Buildings are invaded annually.

  • $3,000 Average repair cost out-of-pocket.

  • 24/7/365 Constant feeding on your foundation.

Termites Are Not Covered With Insurance

Standard homeowners' insurance policies in New Jersey cover fire, wind, and theft—but they do not cover termite damage. Why? Because termites are considered "preventable."

  • The Problem: The average termite repair bill in NJ can exceed $5,000.

  • The Solution: An Ozane Termite Warranty

With the Ozane Termite Warranty, you're covered:

  • Consistent Protection: Our baiting systems provide a 24/7 "ring of protection" around your home.

  • Annual Inspections: We catch the "Silent Destroyers" before they reach your flooring or drywall.

  • No-Fee Transfers: Selling your home in Manalapan or Marlboro? Your protection plan transfers to the new owner for $0, increasing your home's resale value.

Termite Control Questions Answered

Q Do I have to disclose a past termite treatment if I sell my house?

A

Yes. You are required to disclose any known history of termites or structural damage. However, having a transferable termite warranty is actually a major selling point. It proves you've been proactive and gives the buyer "day one" protection without them having to pay for a new setup.

Q I found termites in a stump 50 feet from my house. Should I worry?

A

Termites are "nature's recyclers"—it's their job to eat dead wood in the forest. Finding them in a stump far from your house is normal, but it's a reminder that they are active in your neighborhood. It's better to have a preventative barrier in place before they finish that stump and start looking for their next meal—your home.

Q Can I just spray the termites I see with Raid?

A

Please don't! If you spray the ones you see, you might kill a few dozen workers, but you will scare the rest of the colony away. They will simply retreat and find a different, more hidden part of your house to eat. It makes it much harder for a professional to track the colony and eliminate it properly.

Q How can I tell the difference between a flying ant and a termite?

A

Look at the "waist" and the wings. Termites have a broad, straight waist and four wings of equal length. Flying ants have a pinched "wasp-like" waist and two sets of wings where the front pair is longer than the back.
